NM GREAT PUMPKIN CHASE 10K, 5K, 1-MILE WALK, KIDS K and INFLATABLE COSTUME MAD DASH

EVENT TITLE

Get ready for the 23rd Annual NM Great Pumpkin Chase! Join us for a festive fall morning featuring the 10K, 5K Run/Walk, 1-Mile Walk, Inflatable Costume Mad Dash, and Pumpkin Dash Kids K.

Hundreds of participants will take to the streets of the scenic Albuquerque Country Club neighborhood for a flat and fast course perfect for runners and walkers of all abilities. Come ready to race, walk, dress in costume, or simply enjoy a fun-filled morning with family and friends!

The Great Pumpkin Chase features something for everyone, including the always-popular Pumpkin Dash Kids K, the hilarious Inflatable Costume Mad Dash, age-group awards, overall awards, and a Best Costume Contest. Great shirts, finisher medals, professional timing, and plenty of post-race fun make this one of RunFit's favorite fall traditions.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES

• Official race logo shirt: Participants receive a commemorative shirt.
• Finisher medal: All finishers will receive a medal.
• Professional chip timing: Using a disposable bib tag for accurate results.
• Refreshments: Well-stocked finish-line refreshments and water stations.

• 1 Mile Walk: 9:50 a.m.

• Inflatable Costume Mad Dash: 10:30 a.m.

PARKING

Please use designated parking areas only. Do not park on Kit Carson Drive or anywhere on the course as identified by the traffic cones and event signage. Respect the neighborhood by not blocking driveways.

START INFORMATION

All events start immediately north of Rio Grande Park on Kit Carson Drive. Allow plenty of time to get to the start to seed yourself according to your projected pace time. This race is a Gun Start with a Timing Chip finish.

MEDICAL SUPPORT

Medical staff members will be ready to assist you. The event officials have the right to withdraw any runner from the race who appears distressed or at risk.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

• Can I run with headphones? Yes, but those competing for prizes cannot use electronic devices.
• Can I run with my GPS device? Yes, participants may wear GPS watches or devices.
• What is not allowed on the course? Use of cell phones or video devices is discouraged.
• Can a friend pick up my packet? Yes, a friend can pick up your packet for you.

POST-RACE

Refreshments and Awards will be provided after the races. Always check where your family and friends can cheer you on when you most need support.

Results: All results will be posted immediately at www.irunfit.org on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
