2027 Bearathon and Sic'Em 6K

Race Overview

The Bearathon is a challenging half-marathon that has earned itself the nickname as “The Toughest Half in Texas.”

• Purpose: The Bearathon serves as one of Student Foundation's fundraising efforts each spring to raise money for student scholarships.
• Attendance: The race is open to the public and had over 2,000 registered runners from across the state of Texas and around the country.
• Impact: Each year, the race proceeds benefit Student Foundation Scholarships for deserving Baylor students.
• Contribution: Last year, the Bearathon contributed over $68,000 to student scholarships.

Course Features

Other features of the course include a tour of campus with a run through Fountain Mall, a nice stretch on the Brazos River, through the hills of Cameron Park, and finishing at McLane Stadium.

• Scenic Route: The course features a run through significant locations on campus.
• Energizing Experience: Great views of the Brazos River and Cameron Park.
• Finishing Line: The event concludes at iconic McLane Stadium.
• 6K Route: The Sic'em 6K starts and ends at the same location and offers a scenic tour of Baylor University's campus.

Event Details and Schedule

The Bearathon half-marathon will begin at 7:00 AM on March 20, 2027, followed by the Sic'em 6K at 8:00 AM. Both races will start and end at McLane Stadium.

• Packet Pick-up: Held on Friday, March 19, 2027 from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the McLane Stadium Ticket Office.
• Race Day Pick-up: Packets may also be picked up on Saturday, March 20, 2027 starting at 6:00 AM.
• Registration: You can register for the race up until 12 PM on Friday, March 19.
• Limited Spots: There is a chance all registration spots will fill up before the deadline: register as soon as possible.
