Bummed about your race getting cancelled? Want to help support wildland firefighting efforts?

Impact of Wildfires

• Communities Affected: Many communities in Washington and beyond have faced the impacts of a very strenuous wildfire season.
• Race Cancellations: Race companies all around, including Evergreen Trail Runs, have been forced to cancel races and run clubs due to poor air quality and wildfires burning across their courses.
• Personal Impact: This hit us hard when we had to cancel Kachess Ridge in its inaugural year and Mad Meadows on only its second year.

Cancelled Race Support Group

• Community Event: Despite the cancellations, we wanted to give our running community the opportunity to come together for an event anyways.
• Purpose: This event aims to give back to all the hard working individuals out there fighting fires as well as give thanks for our trail running community that has supported ETR during these tough times.

Registration Details

• Registration Fee: Sign up for a virtual run and in person community run where all $10 of your registration will be donated to either Watch Duty or the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
• Virtual Run Donations: For the virtual run, an additional $1 will be donated for every mile ran between Monday, August 24th and Sunday, August 30th, with a maximum of up to $2000.
• Additional Donations: You can choose to donate additional dollars to these organizations upon sign up as well.

Community Run Details

• Date: On Saturday, October 10th, we will host an in person community run.
• Community Gathering: This run will serve as an opportunity to come together as a trail running community, run with like-minded people, and reflect on the tough season we’ve all endured.
• Pace Welcome: All paces welcome and participation in this part of the event is not required to do the virtual part.
• Location: The location is TBD so keep an eye on your email for more info after you register.

Track Your Miles

We will send out a reminder email to registrants on Sunday, August 23rd to start tracking your miles with a link to a form to submit.
