🎉 MOM's Run Overview

Join us on Mother's Day 2025 for the MOM's Run, a Somerville tradition since 2003! This year the Pilotte family and the Somerville Road Runners are partnering again to bring the 5k run/walk to the community!

👟 Event Highlights

Family Fun: There is something for everyone for this great family event! 5km run, walk, and kids run!
Post Race Party: Don’t forget about the best post race party around, with food and drink from a number of local restaurants and vendors!
Cancer Research: Since 2003, the MOM's run has raised over $250,000, for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
Community Awareness: The event promotes awareness for the health and wellness benefits of walking and running.

Race Day: May 11th, 2025

Location: Dilboy VFW, Davis Square, Somerville MA

Start Times:

Kids Run - 9:15 am
Walk - 9:45 am
Run - 10:00 am

💵 Entry Fee

Pricing: $35 until May 10
Race Day Fee: $40 on race day (unless the race sells out)
Kids Race: $5 - Kids race participants must be accompanied by an adult registration.

🏃 Course Details

Course Map: Visit the course map here: Course Map
5km Run/Walk: Start at the Dilboy VFW and go southeast until hitting Willow Ave.
Directions: Turn left on Willow Ave continuing to Highland Ave.: finish back at the Dilboy VFW.
Kids Run: Starts just before Willow Ave and finishes at the start/finish line of the 5km race.

👕 Race Shirts

T-Shirts: The first 400 non-kids race registrants are guaranteed a dri-fit tank top.
Update: As of 4/17, all shirts have been sold out.

🎽 Bib and Shirt Pick-Up

Date 1: Thursday, May 8th from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, Dilboy VFW, 351 Summer Street, Somerville MA
Date 2: Saturday, May 10th from 10am to 12pm, Dilboy VFW
Race Day: 8am to 9:30am, Dilboy VFW

👜 Bag Check

We will offer bag check at the Dilboy VFW. Runners will need to pick up and drop off their bags pre and post race.

🏆 Prizes

Cash prizes for OVERALL winners (M/F/NB):

1st: $100
2nd: $75
3rd: $50

🚗 Parking

Parking in Davis Square is limited. Arriving via public transit is recommended.

🍕 Post-Race Party

Immediately following the 5K.

Pizza from American Flatbread, food from Redbones, Picky Bars for all, snacks, drinks, and fruit from Wegmans, and post-race adult drinks from Harpoon! The Post-Race Event will take place at the George Dilboy VFW Post 529.

♿ Special Accommodations

Runners of all abilities are welcome to participate in the MOM's Run. If you need special accommodations, please email the race directors at MOM'srun@srr.org and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Proceeds from the MOM's benefit the Dana Farber Institute and SRR. Over the past 20 years, the MOM's Run has raised over $250,000 for local charities — thanks for helping us give back to Somerville and surrounding communities!
