MOM's Run

MOM's Run 2026 Overview

Join us on Mother's Day 2026 for the MOM's Run, a Somerville tradition since 2003! This year the Pilotte family and the Somerville Road Runners are partnering again to bring the 5k run/walk to the community!

Event Highlights

• Family Friendly: There is something for everyone for this great family event! 5km run, walk, and kids run!
• Post Race Party: Don't forget about the best post race party around, with food and drink from a number of local restaurants and vendors!
• Fundraising: Since 2003, the MOM's run has raised over $250,000 for the Claudia Adams Barr Program in Innovative Basic Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.
• Community Awareness: The event promotes awareness for the health and wellness benefits of walking and running.

Race Details

• Date: May 10th, 2026
• Location: Dilboy VFW, Davis Square, Somerville MA
• Start Times: Kids Run - 9:15 am, Walk - 9:45 am, Run - 10:00 am
• Entry Fee: $35 until May 9th, $40 on race day (unless sold out), Kids race participants $5 (must be accompanied by an adult registration).

Course Information

• Course Map: Visit the course map here: Course Map
• 5km Directions: Start at the Dilboy VFW, go southeast until hitting Willow Ave, then turn left and continue to Highland Ave.
• Turn Instructions: Right turn onto Vinal Ave, then right onto Summer Street to finish back at the Dilboy VFW.
• Kids Run: Starts just before Willow Ave and finishes at the 5km start/finish line.

Results and Prizes

• Results: Results will be posted here post race: Results Page
• Prizes: Cash prizes for OVERALL winners (M/F/NB), 1st - $100, 2nd - $75, 3rd - $50.

Logistics and Amenities

• Bib and Shirt Pick-Up: May 7th, 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm: May 9th, 10 am - 12 pm: Race Day, 8 am - 9:30 am.
• Bag Check: Available at the Dilboy VFW before and after the race.
• Parking: Parking in Davis Square is limited. Arriving via public transit is recommended.
• Post-Race Party: Join us for a variety of post-race food, snacks, and drinks!

Special Accommodations

Runners of all abilities are welcome to participate in the MOM's Run. If you need special accommodations, please email the race directors at MOM'srun@srr.org and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Charity Beneficiaries

Proceeds from the MOM's benefit the Dana Farber Institute and SRR. Over the past 20 years, the MOM's Run has raised over $250,000 for local charities — thanks for helping us give back to Somerville and surrounding communities!
