This exciting community event is about more than crossing the finish line. It is an opportunity to come together, promote health and wellness, and raise critical funds that will enable NHCOS to expand its reach and make an even greater impact in the lives of individuals and families throughout our community.

Our community impact is both measurable and substantial. Since 2020, NHCOS has served 285,000 individuals, approximately 72,000 families, and distributed 1.6 million pounds of food, 170,000 baby diapers and wipes, 25,000 rolls of toilet paper, and 20,000 pieces of clothing to neighbors in need.

Your participation helps us build on this work. Every registration, donation, and step taken provides additional resources that allow us to serve more families, respond to urgent needs, and continue offering hope and practical support throughout the community.

Whether you are an experienced runner, a casual walker, or simply looking for a meaningful way to spend the day with family and friends, everyone is welcome. When you walk or run with us, you are not just completing a 5K—you are helping NHCOS continue changing lives, strengthening families, and creating a greater impact, one step at a time.

What to Expect

• Scenic course: A scenic 5K course at the Historic Indian Head Trail
• Community involvement: Runners, walkers, families, churches, organizations, and teams from across the region
• Celebration: Music, encouragement, and a community celebration
• Networking opportunities: Opportunities to connect with local organizations and supporters
• Inclusive atmosphere: A fun and welcoming atmosphere for participants of all fitness levels
• Kids Fun Run: A special Kids Fun Run for our youngest participants

You do not have to be a competitive runner to participate. Walk, jog, run, or move at your own pace—the goal is to show up and make a difference.
