MileBuilt Gemini Springs 2-Day Challenge

THE RACE

The Gemini Springs 2-Day Challenge runs on Spring-to-Spring Trail/Pat Northey Pathway in DeBary, FL on January 23-24, 2027. An out-and-back on an accessible, measured trail. Palm hammock, live oak, and cypress. A tunnel of trees. Every repeat brings you back to the O.K. Corral for aid and to begin another out-and-back. It gets familiar real quick. That is the point.

• Distances: Five distances: 5K · 10K · Half Marathon · Marathon · 50K.
• Core Event: Core distances run both days. 50K is confirmed for this event.

START TIMES

• Marathon and 50K: 7:00 AM
• Half Marathon: 7:10 AM
• 5K and 10K: 8:00 AM

RACE DAY CUTOFF

4:00 PM. This applies to the full race day — not per distance. Runners still on course after the cutoff will be directed off course.

PARKING

To reach the O.K. Corral parking lot, turn left into the main entrance of Gemini Springs Park from Dirksen Drive. Follow the main park road, and when the road splits, stay to the left. This lane guides you directly into the West Parking Lot, which sits adjacent to the dog park and the O.K. Corral pavilion.

CAMPING

• Type: Primitive tent camping only — ten sites inside Gemini Springs Park, each with a fire ring, picnic table, and groomed tent pad.
• Restrictions: No RVs.
• Reservation: Reserved directly through Volusia County (386-736-5953), not through race registration, and sites are limited.

AID STATION

Cupless event. Carry your own fluids — handheld bottle, vest, or waist pack. MileBuilt provides water, an electrolyte drink, and basic snacks. Do not rely on the aid station as your complete nutrition plan, especially for longer distances or multi-day participation.

BIB PICKUP

Available on race day beginning one hour before your scheduled start time — honor system, no ID required. A friend may pick up on your behalf. No bib transfers.

BARE-BONES EVENT

No shirts. No race bags. No expo.

FINISH

Not chip timed. When you finish: cross the line, strike the GONG, then complete the Clock Out at the MileBuilt Time Clock. Official finish times are recorded at the MileBuilt Time Clock and verified by the Race Director before results are posted. Every runner must complete the Clock Out process to receive an official finish record.
