With the careful planning & cooperation from Montgomery Township, PennDOT, Fire Department of Montgomery Township and various local businesses, we are proud to bring you the event!
THE MOTOWN TURKEY TROT IS THE AREA’S LARGEST & MOST POPULAR RUNNING EVENT!
Join Montgomery Township & Scoogie Events on Thanksgiving Day 2026 for this very special 11th year event!
WHEN WE CLOSE THE US 202 PARKWAY JUST FOR YOU!
IMPORTANT SELL OUT NOTE: Last year’s event SOLD OUT well before race day! This year it will sell out even faster! Please register early to guarantee your slot!

- Date: Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 26, 2026
- Start Time: 8:00 am
- Location: The US 202 Parkway!
- Host Venue: Kiddie Academy, 1020 Horsham Rd, North Wales, PA 19454
The Distances/Start Times
- 6:15-7:30 AM: Check in/Packet Pick Up at Kiddie Academy: (in Scoogie Events tent)
- 7:30 AM: Packet Pick up/registration CLOSES PROMPTLY! (NO EXCEPTIONS)
- 7:35 AM: Walk to start line on US 202 Parkway!
- 8:00 AM: 8K Starts
Note: The 8k starts first, followed by the 5k, then the 2 mile fun run and finally we start the KIDS RUN.

How it works: Once you have registered for this event, you will automatically be emailed a unique link in your confirmation email that you can share with friends ANY WAY YOU'D LIKE.
AWARDS:
- Overall winner (male and female), plus top three males and females in each age category.
- Awards for: 8K & 5K only, Kids Run & FUN RUN are for FUN!
- New Age Groups: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, (new age group: 80-89).
- No mailing of awards or shirts.
