Join Rancho Sahuarita, Run Tucson and iHeart Media on Saturday, November 14th, 2026 for a festive fall 5K run/walk and 1-Mile Doggie Dash benefitting local animal rescues.

Event Schedule

• 6:30 am: Registration and packet pickup begins at the Sahuarita Lake Amphitheater (15466 S. Rancho Sahuarita Blvd.)
• 7:30 am: 5K Run/Walk Start -- all ages and all abilities welcome -- but no pets allowed
• 7:45 am: The Doggie Dash Mile Start -- all ages and abilities for both people and pooches!
• 9:30 am: Finish Line Closes (approx time)

Family Activities

Ongoing 8:00 - 11:00 am: Family-friendly activities for all -- packed with entertainment, jumping castles, food trucks, a vendor fair, and a very special visit from your favorite Paw Patrol characters!

Doggy Best Dressed Contest

Calling All Canines: Show Off Your Pup's Best Look at the Trails & Tails 5K and 1 Mile Doggie Dash! Contest is open to all who register for the Doggy Dash Fun Run around Sahuarita Lake. Get ready for the most adorable competition of the year. Whatever the costume or outfit, there is a spotlight waiting for them!

To keep the playing field fair and fun, we are awarding grand prizes of trophy for each category plus a basket of goodies to the top costumed dogs across three size categories:

• Small Division: under 25 lbs
• Medium Division: 25-55 lbs
• Large Division: 55+ lbs

11:00 am: Wrap-up begins. Don't let your pup miss out on the fun—start planning those costumes today!

Additional Information

Doggy Best Dressed contests are first come first served. All dogs will get to show off their outfits/costumes. Each category will be narrowed to the top 10 as needed. Audience will pick the final winner based on applause.
