You’re In. Welcome to UltraTrax East Tennessee.
On May 22, 2027, you’ll take on a full day of movement, challenge, and time on the trails at Windrock Park.
Event Overview
- Location: Windrock Park, Oliver Springs, TN
- First Edition: For the first time, UltraTrax is heading to East Tennessee.
- Coursed Terrain: Home to 73,000 acres and more than 300 miles of trails.
- Course Challenge: Includes a long descent and tough climbs.
Challenge Yourself
Whether you’re here to walk 7 miles or push all the way to 28, the challenge is yours to define.
- Event Duration: Complete your goal within the 10-hour event window.
- Distance Options: Choose from 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles.
- Ruck Challenge: Optional 10, 20, or 35 lb. ruck or weighted vest.
- Aid Stations: Well-stocked stations will be available along the route.
Trek Day Details
- Date: Saturday, May 22, 2027
- Start Line: Open between 7am-10am, divided by distance.
- Start Times: 28 milers at 7am, 21 milers at 7:45am, 14 milers at 8:30am, 7 milers at 9:15am.
- Event Format: Not a race, but a timed endurance event.
Bib Pickup
- Mail Option: Your bib may be mailed in advance.
- In-Person Requirement: Pick up on event morning if registered after April 25, 2027.
- Ruck Participants: Must bring own ruck, backpack, or weighted vest.
- Weight Check: Your pack will be weighed before you begin.
Finish Line Rewards
- Finisher Medal: Custom UltraTrax finisher medals awarded based on distance.
- Event T-shirt: All finishers will receive an UltraTrax event T-shirt.
- UltraTrax Patch: Each participant will earn a patch upon completion.
- Weighted Divisions: Additional swag for participants in weighted divisions.
Event Atmosphere
After your trek, stick around and enjoy the Camp atmosphere at Windrock. Recover, refuel, and celebrate the miles with other participants before calling it a day. Friends and family are welcome to join you.
What to Expect at East Tennessee
- Terrain: A mix of gravel roads and dirt trails surrounded by dense forest.
- Course Profile: Initial downhill miles followed by a demanding climb.
- Success Defined: Walk your first 7 miles, chase 28, or add weight.
- Support: Well-marked course, stocked aid stations, and event staff present.
Parking Information
Onsite parking will be available at Windrock Park. The park maintains trailhead parking near its General Store with additional parking nearby. More detailed arrival, parking, course, and event-day information will be sent as Trek Day gets closer.
