NSBC Spring Into Service 5K

Event Details

• Date: Saturday April 18, 2026
• Location: 310 E. Poplar Street, Old Taylor School Parking lot across from the Griffin Stadium
• Parking: Park in the surrounding area parking lots and walk on over!
• Race Start Time: 8:00 AM

• Race Day Registration: 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM
• Awards Ceremony Start Time: 9:30 AM
• T-shirt Guarantee Deadline: April 1, 2026
• Online Registration: Register online until 7:45 AM on race day!

Registration Options

• In-person 5K event: $30.00
• Virtual/Ghost runner: $30.00
• Race Day Registration In-Person 5K: $30.00 (cash or check only)
• Proceeds: All proceeds above race expenses go to the Boxes of Hope Ministry.

Event Purpose

• Beneficiary: This year's 5K is in support of The Boxes of Hope Ministry.
• Outreach Goal: Aims to distribute 250 food boxes in Griffin.
• Connect: Includes handwritten notes of encouragement and a family Bible.
• Fundraising Goal: $20,000 for outreach efforts.

Race Details

• Distance: 5K (3.1 miles)
• Timing: Not chip timed: horn start with a timing crew for results.
• Awards: Age group winners will receive medals.
• Participants: All registrants receive a race T-shirt, race bib, and post-race breakfast.

Course Information

• Support: The course will have Griffin PD and volunteers for safety.
• Water Station: One water station halfway through the course.
• Pre-race Warm-up: Sharing the Gospel, prayer, and music starts at 7:30 AM.
• Pet Policy: No pets allowed during the race.

Awards

• Categories: Overall Winner, Overall Master Winner (40+), and age groups from 9 and under to 80+.
• Virtual Awards: Ghost runners submit times via email: results included in final race results.
• Eligibility: Virtual results not eligible for race day awards.
• Registration Requirement: Minor children must be accompanied by an adult.
