First Responders Suicide Prevention 5K

Event Overview

RELIF, a nonprofit organization, in collaboration with Next Step Counseling, LLC, is proud to announce its 4th annual First Responders 5k run/walk. A fun-filled event for the entire family, celebrating the mental health and wellness of first responders. Held consecutively with National Law Enforcement Suicide Awareness Day, this signature event promotes a trifecta of mental health, physical wellness, and community policing.

Guests can expect live entertainment, a mental health fair, and expert fitness warm-up. Event proceeds support training and counseling for first responders and their families.

Race FAQ

• Swag Bag: All participants receive a Relif Swag bag.
• Warm-up: Participants will engage in a group warm-up/stretch before the start of the race.
• Walking Etiquette: Walkers are encouraged to walk to the right, allowing runners to pass on the left.
• Timed Bibs: Timed bibs are available to those who wish to have their run timed.
• Certification: USATF Certified 5K/Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.
• Team Discount: To obtain a team discount, you must have three individuals at registration. Discount is applied at checkout.

Race Day Schedule

• 7:15 a.m. | Race # Pickup – Registration table
• 7:45 a.m. | Race # Pickup Closes
• 7:45 a.m. | Warm-up begins and opening remarks
• 8:00 a.m. | Official Race Start
• 9:45 a.m. | Finish of Race

*Awards and recognition will occur at the conclusion of the last finishing participant.

Race Rules

• Check-in: Mandatory race-day number pickup opens at 7:15 a.m. All participants must show a government-issued photo ID upon check-in.
• Race Bibs: RACE bibs may not be sold, given away, or used by anyone other than the registered individual.
• Course: All participants must always stay on the officially designated 5K course.
• Prohibited Items: No guns or weapons of any kind are allowed on the property.
• Water: Outside water bottles, camelbacks, etc. are allowed: water will be provided to race participants.
• Pets: No pets allowed except for officially designated service animals.
• Liability: All participants acknowledge that items left on the property are at their own risk.
• Compliance: Relif & Locus Grove Police reserves the right to exclude or remove any participant for failure to comply with race rules.
• Community Presence: Community partners and vendors will be on-site.

Transportation & Parking

• Parking: There is public parking at the race site.
• Transportation: Transportation is not provided for attending this race.

Virtual Race Option

• Flexibility: Allows you to run or walk anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill.
• Completion: Complete the 5K on your own time and at your preferred location.
• Results Submission: You can submit your virtual race results and photos via the race registration website.

Staff will not be available via phone or e-mail on the morning of the race to answer questions. Please resolve any issues or questions you have before race day.
