It is getting to be that time again. Race is just around the corner. November 7, 2026

Race Purpose

• Beneficiary: The Mighty Heros 5K is a race to benefit Mighty Hero Homes, an organization dedicated to eliminating Veteran Homelessness, because THEY DESERVE BETTER!
• Location: The race will be a wonderful run in McDonough, GA, Henry County through the Lake Dow and Lake Dow Estates communities.
• Proceeds: All proceeds from the race will go directly to Mighty Hero Homes.
• Community Development: Henry County is the scheduled location for the first Mighty Hero Community construction.

Community Health Promotion

Event also promotes health in the community.

Annual Event Details

• Second Annual Event: This is the second annual event.
• Veteran Dedication: Every race will be dedicated to a Veteran.
• Nominations: We are now accepting Veteran nominations for the 2026 race. Nominations can be living, retired, active, or deceased.
• Submission: Please send nominations in the form of a 1-page email to Cplloyd1313@gmail.com. This is the race email site, or drop off at the Mighty Hero Homes main office in a sealed envelope with Attn: Crystal Preston-Lloyd, Mighty Hero Homes 5K race nomination.

Race Details

• Certification: USATF Course certified. GA25063WC
• Qualifier: Northside Hospital Peachtree Road Race Qualifier.
• Family-Friendly: Dog and stroller friendly event. Will have separate wave.
• Schedule: Registration begins at 06:30: Race begins at 08:00.

Awards

Awards to follow. Awards will be given out for overall male and female finisher and the top three runners of each age group. Award for most decorated patriotic stroller.
