About this race
Registration is $30 in advance and $40 on the day of the event. A T-shirt is included with registration through October 14. After that, T-shirts are available while supplies last.
The race will start at the WSFA building on Dexter Avenue in Montgomery, Alabama, and continue through downtown Montgomery. Halloween costumes are welcome!
All proceeds benefit the Desmond Wingard Legacy in Journalism Scholarship Endowment at Troy University.
Desmond Wingard, WSFA’s former News Director who passed away 10/30/25 after a short battle with cancer. Desmond was an integral part of WSFA and was responsible for so many of the positive things our station has done for our community. Desmond was a dear friend to all that knew him and our race is in his honor to help raise funds for the Desmond Wingard Legacy in Journalism Scholarship at Troy University.
