About this race
Get into the Halloween spirit with the Wicked Spooky 5k & the Creepy Crawly Climb on Saturday, October 31, 2026! This race starts and finishes at Wicked Weed’s Funkatorium on the South Slope of Downtown Asheville. Show off your most creative, terrifying, or quirky costume for a chance to win great prizes. Whether you’re a spooky monster, a mystical creature, or a pop culture icon, this is your chance to shine!
We’ve added a kid’s Creepy Crawly Climb! The climb starts/finishes in the same location as the 5k on Coxe Avenue. The course goes up to the intersection of Coxe & Hillard (closed to traffic) and back down. It’s approximately .25 mile. Creepy Crawler registration is a flat fee of $10 and receive a Finisher medal. You can add on a race shirt for $20 during check out.
Raise your spirits (pun intended) with your choice of a delicious Wicked Weed craft beer (21+) OR an N/A beverage! Also included in race registration are: a Finisher Medal, Long Sleeve Race Shirt, Donation to MountainTrue, & Chip Timing.
