Run for Nicaragua 5K

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

• Event Date: May 16, 2026 (Timing and Results by Flat-Out Events Race Management)
• Events: 5K (competitively timed event), One Mile Fun Run (not a timed event), Virtual 5K (no awards)
• Schedule: 8:00am - One Mile Fun Run: 8:30am - 5K: Virtual 5K Option - 5K
• Registration: Late Registration and Runner Packet Pick-up on Race Day from 7:00-7:45am.

💰 Registration Costs

• 5K Pricing: Up to 04/12/2026 - $30
• 5K Pricing: 04/13/2026-05/15/2026 - $35
• 5K Pricing: 05/16/2026 - $40
• One Mile Fun Run: $10: Virtual 5K up to Race Day - $35 ($27 race fee + $8 shipping fee for race swag)

🏠 Fundraising Goals

• Event History: This is our 7th annual "Run for Nicaragua" Race!
• Fundraising Achievement: Since 2019, we've raised over $50,000 to build homes for families in several Barrios in Nicaragua.
• 2026 Goal: Raise $20,000 to build homes in the Carlos Fonseca Barrio in Nicaragua.
• Home Cost: Each home costs $2,000. Event funds also help with school supplies, furniture, and more! More info at ccm.life.

🍽️ Food Drive

• Support Local: Bring non-perishable food items to support the food bank at Thrive Peninsula.
• Raffle Tickets: Earn raffle tickets for donated food items: prize drawn after the awards ceremony.
• Common Needs: Cereal, crackers, jelly/jam, and canned veggies.

🎉 Event Highlights

• Family Fun: This is a Family Fun Event with great raffle prizes, refreshments, and games for everyone.
• Medals: All participants will receive a medal upon completion of the race!
