Run for Rainbow: 5k and Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

We are excited for you to join us for a 5k run and 1 mile walk to raise money and awareness for the University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital through our Foundation's Associate Board. The vision of the Associate Board is to be a highly visible and innovative volunteer organization of committed, creative and entrepreneurial young professionals who contribute to the long-term sustainability of UH Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital by generating awareness, involvement and development of leadership among the next generation.

📅 Important Date

Reminder: Register by Friday, August 1 to receive a t-shirt on race day.

⏰ Start Times

• Registration/Packet Pick Up: 7:00am
• Kids Fun Run: 8:00am (100 yard dash)
• 5K Run/Walk and 1 Mile Walk: 8:30am

• Kids Fun Run: 100 yards

⏱ Timing Details

• 5K: Chip Timed
• 1 Mile and Kids Fun Run: Not timed

📝 Registration Information

Race fees allow for admission to the Zoo all day!

Thru the end of August 12:

• 5K: $35
• 1 Mile not timed: $30
• Kids Fun Run: $15.00

All mailed entries must be received by Wednesday, August 12, 2025

🎟 Race Day Registration

Registration/Packet Pick Up Begins at 7:00am

August 13 thru race day:

• 5K timed: $40
• 1 Mile not timed: $35
• Kids Fun Run: $20.00

🏆 Participants Receive

A short-sleeved t-shirt and post-race refreshments and can enjoy the Zoo and Rainforest all day! MUST PICK UP YOUR WRISTBAND AT REGISTRATION (PRIOR TO 8:30AM) AND ENTER THE ZOO BY 11AM

Reminder: Register before Friday, August 1 to receive a t-shirt on race day.

👥 Supporters

• Supporter Wristband: $12 cash or check (zoo membership does not allow for free entry)
• All supporters the age of 2 and over will need to purchase a $12 wristband and must collect their wristbands prior to 8:30am from the registration table and enter the zoo by 11am.
• After registration closes at 8:30am, if you have not received your wristband, you must go to the box office and purchase a regularly priced ticket.

Note: Strollers are allowed but no dogs are permitted in the zoo.

5K Awards will be given to the top 3 men and top 3 women overall.

❗️ Refunds and Transfers

Sorry, but all entries are non-refundable. Once we’ve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next year’s race or any other race.
