🩸 Sickle Cell Awareness Matters

Breaking The Sickle Cell Cycle Foundation, Inc. cordially invites you to the 5th Annual Sickle Cell Warrior Walk/Run 5K! The Sickle Cell Warrior Walk/Run 5K is an inspiring, family-friendly event to unite the Nashville community and surrounding areas in bringing awareness to sickle cell disease and to create long-lasting relationships to help support members of the sickle cell community:

• Event Purpose: Uniting the community to raise awareness about sickle cell disease.
• Impact: A genetic blood disorder disproportionately affecting minority populations.
• Community Engagement: Encourage awareness of sickle cell trait status.
• Informed Decisions: Promote healthcare and family planning considerations based on health status.

📅 Race Details

The race will be held on September 20, 2025 at the beautiful Hartman Park:

• 5K Start Time: 9 AM
• 1 Mile Start Time: 9:05 AM
• Course Closure: All participants must complete the course by 10:00 AM.
• Post Race Celebration: Enjoy refreshments and our awards ceremony at 10:15 AM.

🎽 Registration and Awards

Commemorative race medal & T-shirt are available for paid registrants who sign up by August 6th, 2025:

• Award Categories: Awards will be given to the Top 5K finishers.
• Overall Awards: 1st Place Overall (Male & Female) $150, 2nd Place Overall $100, 3rd Place Overall $50.
• Age Group Awards: 1st and 2nd place Male & Female finishers in each category (16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+).
