The Huntley Historical Society - Sew Hop'd Beer Mile

🍺 Race Overview

• Distance: Four 1/4 mile laps.
• Drinking Requirement: Runners drink a 12 ounce beer before each lap (drink, run, drink, run, drink, run, drink, run).
• Beer Provided: Must drink beer provided by the event.
• Heats: No more than 20 participants will start every 30 minutes.

📅 Event Details

• Start Time: The Beer Mile will start with the first Relay Team Heat at 2 pm.
• Relay Heats: Additional Relay Heats will start approximately every 30 minutes.
• Individual Heats: The Individual Beer Mile Heats will start after the Relay Team Heats.
• Registration Prices: After July 20: $75 for Beer Mile, $55 for Relay.

👕 Registration Information

• T-Shirt Guarantee: If you sign up after July 7, we cannot guarantee you will get a t-shirt: we will do our best to get you one in the correct size.
• Inclusion: Registration Includes a T-Shirt, Custom Bib, Beer Glass, Finishers Medal, Chip Timing, and Pictures.
• Packet Pickup: Saturday, July 26th - 1 PM to 5 PM.
• Age Requirement: Must be 21 years of age on Event Date to Participate in the beer mile.

• Course Records - Female: Savannah Henn - 12:38 (2024), Savannah Henn - 13:27 (2023).
• Relay Team Record: Hoppy Feet - 6:15 (2024), Sotally Tober - 7:27 (2024).
• Top Awards: Top 3 Male and Top 3 Female, Age Group Awards, Male and Female DFL (Dead Freaking Last) Beer Mile, Top 3 Relay Teams.

🍔 Food and Entertainment

• Food Trucks: On site from 11 AM to 8 PM.
• Live Music: From 6 PM to 8 PM.
• Family-Friendly: Bring the family and a lawn chair, hang out and have fun!
• Raffles: Exciting raffles during the event!

🌧️ Rain or Shine

• Weather Policy: Beer Mile will be held RAIN OR SHINE!
• Course: A quarter-mile loop on a 100% paved parking lot.
