Tidewater Striders Scholarship 5K & Kids Mile

🏃‍♂️Event Overview

The Striders Scholarship 5K Event is held at the Virginia Beach Sportsplex!

You are encouraged to pre-register for this event.

You will receive complete details with your final instructions (via email) before the event.

📅Race Details

• Date: July 29th, 2025
• Time: 1 Mile starts at 6 pm, 5K starts at 6:30 pm
• Location: Virginia Beach Sportsplex
• Registration: Register here

🎟️Raffle and Donations

• Raffle Tickets: Additional tickets available on race day: 3 tickets for a $20 donation, 10 tickets for a $50 donation.
• Shirt Option: Registration for a shirt option at $50 includes a race shirt and 5 raffle tickets. Sign up by July 7th.
• Packet Pick Up: Pre-race packet pick up on July 28th from 3-6pm at Running etc VB.
• Course Description: The 5K starts in front of the Sportsplex, loops around the parking lot, follows the trail behind the Sportsplex, and finishes inside the Sportsplex.

🏆Awards and Recognitions

• Strider Grand Prix: This is a Strider Grand Prix event.
• HR Super Grand Prix: The Scholarship 5K is also an HR Super Grand Prix event. More info here.
• After Party: Join us inside the Sportsplex for beer and pizza, with a huge raffle featuring over $10,000 in prizes!
• Raffle Donations: To donate an item for our raffle, please contact Thomas at Orangerunning@yahoo.com.

🤝Volunteer Opportunities

• Volunteer Sign-Up: You can still participate and volunteer! Use the volunteer tab on this site to sign up.
• Competitive Walking Division: If you register under this division, you must walk the entire race. For running/walking, register for the 5K Run/Walk Division.
• Discounts: Use the NO SHIRT sign-up option for a discount.
• Shirt Availability: Strider Scholarship 5K shirts are available as an additional purchase option when registering.
