Welcome to the 8TH Annual Will Frederick Memorial 5K RUN FOR THE KIDS

• Purpose: We’re running (and walking) for a purpose and that purpose is the kids and youth in our community!
• Impact: With more than 25 different sponsors and hundreds of walkers and runners, we have raised more than $100,000.
• Outcomes: Proceeds have helped high school football players accept Christ, funded scholarships for students, and supported local sports teams.
• Continuing Efforts: We aim to provide Christmas for children in the area and more.

• Invitation: You’re invited to join us at 8AM on April 25, 2026, to run (or walk) the race route!
• Registration: Registration is open now! Register early to guarantee that you receive a 2026 race t-shirt!

Partners/Sponsors

• Outreach: As we prepare for our eighth race, we reach out to local businesses that share a heart for the community.
• Support: Sponsorships allow us to send kids to Christian camps and help with legal fees for adoptions.

Event Details

• Date & Time: Join us on April 25, 2026, at 8AM at Lifeway Church: 114 South Congress Street, York, SC 29745.
• Timing: This is an RFID chip timed event. A time clock will be provided at the finish line.
• Prizes: Awards will be given for first, second, and third place male and female finishers.

WHY WE RUN • WILL’S STORY

• Background: At 23 years old, Will Frederick began impacting the children and youth in the York area.
• Legacy: Will unexpectedly passed away in August 2018 following complications from surgery.
• Support: All proceeds from the event will be used to continue Will’s legacy of impacting the youth of God's Kingdom.
