Event Overview
- Gun Start and Chip Finish: Both the 5K and 10 Miler.
- New Features: This year, participants can run both the 5K AND 10 Miler! Contact for discount information.
- Participation: Kids are encouraged to join the 5K, though there is no designated kid's fun run.
- T-Shirts: Guaranteed only through March 18, 2026.
Packet Pickup
- Date and Time: March 27, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM.
- Location: Trail Office.
- Awards: Posted online with trophies awarded on site.
- Aid Stations: Water provided at the 5K and 10 mile turnaround, as well as at the finish line.
Course Information
- Start Location: Begins on Quarry Road and transitions to a 10-foot wide gravel trail.
- 5K Course: Start at the gate on Quarry Road, follow the designated turns back to the finish for a total of 3.1 miles.
- 10 Mile Course: Out and back on the Foote Trail, featuring scenic views of lakes and a bridge over I-85.
- Trail Head Coordinates: Lat: 35-13-49 / Long: 81-21-02.
Registration Details
- Cost: $20 each for both the 5K and 10M (no t-shirt), $25 each (with t-shirt).
- Awards: Trophies for top three Male and Female runners in both races.
- Age Groups: U-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
- Note: Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.
Packet Pick-Up Information
- Date: Friday, March 27, 2026, from 3 PM to 6 PM.
- Race Day Pickup: Starts at 7:30 AM at the Trail Head.
- Location: 807 Battleground Avenue.
Directions and Parking
- I-85 from Charlotte: Exit 10 onto US-74 West, exit US-74 Business (King Street), left on Battleground Ave (0.8 miles).
- I-85 from Spartanburg: Exit 8 onto US-161 North, left on Gold, left on Battleground Ave (0.6 miles).
- US-74 from Asheville: Exit NC-216 South onto Piedmont Ave, bear right on Battleground Ave (1.6 miles).
- Parking: Available in grass along Quarry Road or across from the Trail Head in a gravel lot, with volunteers directing you.
