Race Overview
Celebrate America's 250th Independence Day with a morning run at one of Upstate South Carolina's most beautiful Lake Hartwell communities.
- Course Description: The Firecracker 5K takes you along a picturesque, tree-lined route featuring a sweeping view of Lake Hartwell and the Chickasaw Point Golf Course.
- Run/Walk Option: Whether you're a seasoned runner or a leisurely stroller, this out-and-back course invites all participants.
- Water Stations: Water will be available on the course for runners.
- Family Participation: Friends and family are welcome to cheer you on or join you for the run/walk.
Technology and Tracking
The race is powered by the RaceJoy app, allowing loved ones to track participants live and send audio cheers. Participants receive continuous progress updates at every mile.
Awards and Recognition
- Finisher Medals: All finishers receive an official commemorative 250th anniversary race medal and a Chickasaw Point 250th celebration shirt.
- Special Awards: Top overall and age group finishers, as well as the oldest and youngest runners, will receive special awards.
Bib and Packet Pickup
- July 2: 4 to 6pm at The Overlook
- July 3: 4 to 8pm at The Overlook. Chickasaw Point residents can also pick up their race packets at The Festival at the Beach from 4 to 8pm.
- July 4: Starts at 7am at the Race Start Location (entrance of Chickasaw Point community)
