Celebrate America's 250th Independence Day with a morning run at one of Upstate South Carolina's most beautiful Lake Hartwell communities.

Race Details

Get ready to kick off the country's 250th Fourth of July with a bang! Whether you're a seasoned runner or a leisurely stroller, the Firecracker 5K takes you along a picturesque, tree-lined route featuring a sweeping view of Lake Hartwell and the Chickasaw Point Golf Course.

• Course Type: This is an out-and-back, tree-lined course that turns around with an expansive lake view.
• Water Stations: Water will be available on the course.
• Friends & Family: Your friends and family are welcome to cheer you on — or join you in the run/walk!
• RaceJoy App: Powered by the RaceJoy app, loved ones can track you live and send audio cheers: participants receive continuous progress updates at every mile.

Awards & Swag

All finishers receive an official commemorative 250th anniversary race medal and a Chickasaw Point 250th celebration shirt. Top overall and age group finishers — plus the oldest and youngest runners — receive special awards.

Bib and Shirt Pickup

• Date: July 2 from 4 to 6pm at The Overlook
• Date: July 3 from 4 to 8pm at The Overlook.
• Date: July 4 starting at 7am at the Race Start Location (entrance of Chickasaw Point community)
• Chickasaw Point residents: Shirt pickup is also available on July 3 at the Festival at the Beach from 4 to 8pm. Bib and race packet pick up will be held at The Overlook and at the race start location.
