RACE HISTORY

• Origin: The Petit Family 5k Road Race began in early 2008.
• Founders: Initiated by Robert and Gary Heslin, classmates of Dr. William A. Petit, Jr.
• Legacy: Established in response to Dr. Petit's request to honor his wife and daughters.
• Course: USATF-certified 5k, point-to-point course: also includes a 1.3mi Fitness Walk.
