Women's Distance Festival

Event Overview

• Date: 2026-07-11
• Location: 1501 S Grand Ave W, Springfield, IL
• Course: A beautiful two-mile course through Washington Park.
• Participation: Open to women and girls of all ages, competitive runners, and casual walkers.

Important Information

• Deadline: Race shirt guarantee for all participants is June 17.
• Start Time: All participants in the 2-mile run/walk will start at 8AM.
• Refund Policy: There are no refunds: registrants will be converted to the Virtual Race option if the live race cannot be held.
• Strollers: Strollers are welcome: however, pets are NOT permitted in the live race.

Finisher Area

• Refreshments: There will be bottled water, bananas, and snacks available.
• Accessibility: Area will be set up for all finishers.

Race Results & Awards

• Text Notifications: Participants who opted in will receive a text message with their time shortly after finishing.
• Live Results: Results will stream live and be available at: http://www.ItsRaceTime.com.
• Award Categories: Recognized categories span from Overall, Masters to 80+.
• Award Distribution: Awards will be available following the race.

Curbside Packet Pickup

• Date & Time: Friday before the race at 3:00-6:00 PM.
• Location: Springfield Running Center, 2943 W. White Oaks Drive, Springfield, IL.
• Pickup Process: Participants can pick up their packet without exiting their car.
• Shirt Guarantee: Shirts are guaranteed for those registered by the June 18 deadline.

Race Day Packet Pickup

• Available Time: Limited packet pickup is available from 7:00-7:45 AM.
• Forfeiture: Packets not picked up will be forfeited. No shipping option available.

Notes for Virtual Race Participants

• Distance: Run or walk your two miles wherever you choose!
• Time Submission: Submit your time starting on race day here: https://runsignup.com/Race/WomensDistance/Page/RaceResults.
• Editing Results: Click EDIT TIME next to your name: results can be submitted for one week post-race.
• Packet Pickup: Race packets for virtual participants will be available for free curbside pickup.

Kids' Fun Run

• Timing: The Kids' Fun Run will be held immediately after the live 2-mile race.
• Location: Will start at the top of the hill near the finish line.
• Eligibility: Open to children ages 12 and under: this is an untimed event.
• Finish Rewards: All participants will receive a medal and treat bag at the finish line.
