The Rockford Fire Department welcomes you to participate in the 22nd Annual Rockford Fire Department 911 - 3K Run/Walk. Join the fun and challenge yourself, family, or friends at this incredible event.

Event Purpose

• Mission: This event was formed to bring fire prevention and emergency medical education to our community.
• Significance: The numbers 9-1-1 are an iconic symbol of emergency services across the nation.
• Honoring Memory: The race's start time is 9:11am to honor the memory of September 11, 2001.
• Community Reach: The Rockford Fire Department interacts with over 60,000 people annually through social media and public service announcements.

Funding and Impact

• Proceeds Usage: Funds from this race support educational efforts in fire prevention, safety, and community risk reduction.
• Training Aids: Proceeds will be used to purchase training aids and educational handouts.
• Camp Sponsor: Proceeds will sponsor a camper for "Camp I Am Me," a burn survivor camp.
• Building Confidence: Camp provides safe experiences for children who have sustained burns to build self-confidence and self-esteem.

Registration and Pricing

• Early Bird Pricing: Save $10 off the normal ticket price if you register on or before 5/17.
• Kid Pricing: Kids 18 and under are only $20!
• T-Shirt Sizes: Adult sizes S-3XL: Youth sizes M-XL: additional shirts can be purchased via the STORE.
• Shirt Orders: Additional shirt orders will not be accepted after May 17th.

Challenge Coins and Awards

• Previous Years' Coins: Challenge coins from 2022-25 available until supplies last.
• Finisher Perks: Runners will receive a finisher medal, a race bib, and a guaranteed T-shirt for early registration.
• Race Prizes: To be announced: check back for details.
• Awards: Challenge coins for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place in each age category and medals for kids fun run.

Post-Race Festivities

• Food Sponsor: Excited to have Mission BBQ providing post-race food.
• Course Certification: USATF certified course and chip timing by Racing Expectations.
• Kiddie Run: Free Kids Fun Run for children ages 8 and under following the race.
• Packet Pick-Up: Held at Fleet Feet Sports Rockford on June 5, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

• No Same Day Registration: Registration closes on June 5 at 6 p.m.
• Discounts: Rockford Road Runners Circuit Race, RRR discount is available.
