Warrior Foundation 5k

🏃‍♂️ Warrior Foundation 5K

The Warrior Foundation 5K will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. This event is located at 4401 Peak Dr, Loves Park, IL.

🎗️ Event Overview

• Fundraising Purpose: All funds raised benefit kids fighting cancer in the local community.
• Registration: There is no race day registration.
• Experience: Participants can expect one t-shirt and an individual Warrior Foundation patch for each event completed.
• Award: All finishers will receive a finishers patch, with age group awards for the top 3 in each category.

🚩 Course Details

• Type: 5k run/walk on paved bike path.
• Course Layout: This is an out and back course, with water available at the turnaround.
• Completion: A rucksack is not required to complete this event.
• Patch Award: A patch will be awarded upon completion of the race.

🎽 Additional Challenges

The Warrior Crucible event consists of completing three challenges:

• Warrior 30 Mile Ruck: Start and finish at Peak Sports Club, Loves Park, IL.
• Warrior Basic Challenge: A team event requiring physical training and resistance exercises.
• Event Cancellation: The Warrior Foundation reserves the right to cancel events due to adverse weather conditions or emergencies.
• Refund Policy: There are no refunds or deferrals for any registered participants.

🛠️ Required Equipment

• Rucksack: A backpack is mandatory for participating in challenges.
• Ruck Plate: Weight is required based on participant weight (20 lbs if >150 lbs, 10 lbs if <150 lbs).
• Hydration: A 3L hydration bladder and a 1L water bottle are recommended.
• Safety Gear: Headlamp with extra batteries and a first aid kit are required.
