🏃‍♂️Event Overview

• Host: The Malta Seedling Project is hosting the 5K Tractor Trot again on June 21, 2025!! New weekend date this year!
• Participation: Come support our community, no experience needed. Any level of physical fitness, you can walk, jog or run the course. Sideline cheerleaders are welcome also!
• Purpose: The Malta Seedling Project strives to bring awareness to all of the wonderful opportunities Malta provides for families, businesses and organizations wishing to develop and enhance our community and lives.
• Proceeds: Proceeds from this race will continue the Malta Seedling Project’s current activities and offer new opportunities.

🌱Community Impact

• Achievements: Community beautification, Community Garden Club of vegetables & flowers, Music in the Park, Movie in the Park, Family Fishing Derby, Chili Cook-Off, and a town mural are some of the AMAZING achievements brought to our community.
• Developments: New welcome signage, flower beds within the Village, a walk/bike path between town & our local subdivision are a few developments already completed along with a magnificent Mural to highlight our Malta history and heritage!
• Fitness Promotion: To promote fitness and healthy lifestyles for everyone we encourage your participation.
• Event Timing: The race will be timed & with a shotgun start.

📅Date & Time

• Date: Please join the Malta Seedling Project as a participant or spectator Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 8 a.m. in support of our special community, and have some fun!
• Awards: Medals awarded to the top 3 times for both male and female
• Pricing: $30 pre-registration (deadline 6/19/25) and $35 race day

📍Location & Registration

• Venue: The event will be held Saturday June 21, 2025. Race day registration will be available from 7:00am until 7:30am and check-in begins at 7:30 a.m.
• Start Time: The run/walk start time is 8:00 a.m., following the national anthem.
• Registration Details: Registration, check-in, start, and finish will be located at the Malta Lions Park, 409 N 4th Street, Malta, IL 60150.
• Packet Pickup: Run packets (including bib numbers and t-shirts) will be handed out at the check-in table, on the morning of the event.

⚠️Registration Guidelines

• T-Shirt Guarantee: Must register by 11:59 PM June 5, 2025 to be guaranteed a t-shirt.
• Online Registration: Online registration deadline is 11:59pm June 19, 2025.
• In-Person Registration: You can register in person on the morning of the race beginning at 7:00am at Lion's Park, Malta, IL.
• Safety Guidelines: Unfortunately, we have to ask that you leave your 4-legged running partners at home this year for safety reasons.

💧Safety Measures

• Family-Friendly Environment: Our goal is to provide a family friendly, fun event where everyone can “Come and Run/Walk Safely”.
• Water Stations: Water stations on the course and finish lines will be provided. Volunteers will be handing out water to eliminate contact.
• Participant Conduct: Participants whose actions do not meet the above expectations, and/or are creating a risk for themselves or others, will be asked to leave the event.
