Tiger 10 Miler - 9th Annual Trail Race

Join us for the 9th Annual Tiger 10 Miler Trail Race presented by Byron Bank! This exciting race will take runners on ten miles of twists, turns, and hills within the Byron Forest Preserve and the more secluded Nardi Equine Prairie.

Awards and Prizes

• Finishers: All participants will receive a custom finisher's medal and shirt.
• Age Group Awards: Unique awards go 3 deep in 5-year brackets.
• Overall Winners: Overall male & female winners will receive awards and a cash prize.
• Special Awards: Special awards will be given to five-year finishers of the Tiger 10 Miler.

Race Details

• Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026
• Time: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
• Check-in: 7:00-7:45 a.m. at the Byron Forest Preserve Jarrett Prairie Center
• After Party: The after party will be held at Hairy Cow Brewing Company from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

Packet Pickup

• Pre-race: Friday 9/18 at the Byron Park District front desk 5pm-8:30pm, 500 N. Colfax St. Door 55, Byron, IL 61010.
• Race Day: Packet pickup at the race site 7am-7:45am.
• Walkers: Walkers are welcome and will start at 7:30am. The early start is assigned by performance.
• Pace: 18 minute mile pace will finish the course in 3 hours.

Location and Fees

• Location: Byron Forest Preserve
• Fee: $60/person on or before July 6th.
• Late Registration: $70/person from July 7th - August 30th (last day to guarantee a shirt).
• Race Day Fee: $80/person from August 31 - race day. Online registration closes at noon on Friday 9/18.
