Event Overview

GET READY HOUSTON!! The Tunnel to Towers 5k Run & Walk is coming to Cypress, TX for year five! Once again, we have partnered with Harris County Precinct 5 to bring together the communities that wholeheartedly support our Firefighters, Law Enforcement officers, and Military that have served in the past, present, and those who will also follow in their footsteps in the future. We honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and we thank YOU for coming together for this historical event in our little corner of the world to make a difference in the lives of those we have pledged to support.

What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001.
• Honoring Heroes: We honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

Event Details

• Distance: This is a 5K (approximately 3.1 miles) to walk or run.
• Registration: Yes, registration will open at 6:30am on 9/19/2026. If you wait to register, we may not have a shirt for you.
• Online Registration: Online registration will remain open until race day registration is closed. Register by 8/20/2026 to guarantee your t-shirt.
• Packet Pickup: Packet Pick-ups will be available the morning of the event outside the John Paul Landing Environmental Education Center located at 9950 Katy Hockley Road, Cypress, TX 77493.

Participant Information

• Packet Pickup Proxy: Yes, someone else can pick up your packet if they present a copy of your registration receipt.
• Wear Bib Number: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
• Awards: Yes, we keep them simple and most awards are based on firefighters, police or military running in gear.
• Water Availability: Yes, two water stations will be available along the route and at the start/finish line.

Medical and Safety

• Medical Support: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
• Bringing Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted: please store personal items securely.

• Fundraising Incentives: Yes, fundraising guides are available each year.
• Post-Race Donations: Donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
