🌱 Recovering After the St. Joseph Fire

Event Status: Our building was heavily damaged by a fire on Wednesday, March 19. Our farm operations are ongoing, and our Fat Cow 5K will continue as planned!
Course Adjustments: Our course will likely be adjusted, but our post-race activities remain in the agenda.
Planned Activities: Join us on July 26 for a memorable 2nd annual Fat Cow 5K that will help us recover and rebuild from the recent fire.

New Course: We're back for year 2 with a new and improved (one option only!) course, timed results, and finisher awards!
Health Fair: Stick around after for a free Health Fair featuring local vendors, goat yoga, and a Watermelon U-PICK on the farm.
Unique Experience: Don’t miss out on the only 5k where you’ll have farm animals as spectators throughout the course.

Historic Site: St. Joseph farmstead is a 56,000 SF historic building and 63-acre property in North Little Rock that is on the National Register of Historic Places.
Community Focus: As an independent nonprofit, St. Joseph operates with a mission to preserve the historic property through sustainable agriculture & food production.
Event Venue: With over 30 artist studios, an event venue, and a year-round farmstand store selling local and organic foods, there is A LOT going on at St. Joseph's.

Event Timing: Our kid's dash will take place before the 5k in front of the building near registration at 7:15am.
All Ages: This is an all-ages dash and every registered finisher will receive a cowbell.
Parental Supervision: Parental supervision is required. Join the fun after the dash and cheer on the 5k runners!

Terrain: The course will include both trail and road crossings with soft grass, rocks, and pine.
Safety: The crossing road will be manned for safety.
Trail Conditions: Please note that a good portion of the 5k course is on the trails that include rocks and roots.

Parking Location: Parking is available on the West (second) Entrance at the front of the building on Camp Robinson Road.
Early Arrival: Please arrive early to secure your spot!

Race Start: The race will start promptly at 7:30am under the arch in front of the building.
Post-Race Raffle: Raffle will begin around 8:45am.
Activities: Finishers are welcome to visit vendors at the health fair or head to the watermelon patch for a U-PICK.
Goat Yoga: Stick around for goat yoga at 10am!

Medals: All finishers will receive a cowbell medal.
Raffle Tickets: Each finisher will receive 1 raffle ticket.
Drink Tickets: Each finisher will also receive 1 drink ticket at the Beer Shed.

Nonprofit Event: This 5k is a farm-raiser for our 501 (c)(3) nonprofit.
Merchandise Sale: All merchandise will be for sale, including post-race beverages.
Supporting Local: Purchase a few extra raffle tickets to increase your odds at winning some farm swag!
