29th Annual Run/Walk for the Greenway 5K & Fun Run

Event Location

• Address: 1825 Park Road West, Salisbury, NC 28144
• Directions: Take I-85 to Salisbury Exit #76 toward downtown. Follow Innes Street straight through town to Mahaley Ave (approx 2.5 miles). Turn right on Mahaley Avenue, then go 0.4 miles to E. Park Rd. Turn left on E. Park Rd. Go 2 blocks, and Overton will be on the left.

Start Times

• 5K: 8:00 AM
• Fun Run: 8:45 AM

Race Course

• Half Mile Fun Run: Will be an out and back on the greenway.
• 5K Course: The course starts at Overton at approximately 1900 West Park Drive. The start is at the second driveway to the school, the one nearest the baseball field.
• Route Details: Runners will go southwest on West Park to a turnaround which is at approximately 1635 West Park Rd, then runners will come back toward the school and then turn right at Hickory Drive.
• Final Stretch: Turn left on E. Park Road, right on W. Park Road, enter Greenway, along the Greenway to Prescott Drive, turn left on Prescott, turn right on Knollwood, turn left on Courtland Drive, turn left on Wake, turn right back onto Prescott.

Awards

• Top Three Overall: Male and Female in 5K (Overall winners not eligible for Age Group Awards & Awards will not be mailed)
• Prize: $25 Downtown Salisbury Dollars for the top overall male and female runner/walker.
• Age Groups: Top Three in Each Age Group—Male and Female in 5K.
• Fun Run Awards: Top Three Overall and Medals to All Others (Ages 8 & Under Only).

T-Shirts

• 5K Participants: Dry Fit T-Shirts guaranteed to all pre-registered runners and walkers.
• Fun Run Participants: Cotton t-shirts for all pre-registered fun run participants.
• Walkers: Eligible for age group awards!

Entry Fees

• 5K: $25 pre-registration (by 7-17-26): $30 race day (7:00 – 7:45 a.m.)
• Fun Run: $10 pre-registration & race day (ages 8 & under)

Donations

• Donation Option: Bring canned goods or old running shoes to the race to donate to Rowan Helping Ministries.
• Prize for Donation: Have a chance to win $50 Downtown Salisbury Dollars courtesy of Downtown Salisbury, Inc.
