Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K Race Overview

Boy Scout Troop 407 is planning the 14th Annual Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K Race!

Purpose and Community Impact

• Annual Fundraiser: This event supports our scouts and their participation at summer camp.
• Developmental Benefits: The 6-day camp helps scouts with physical, social and mental development.
• Future Leaders: Scouting plays an integral role in developing young scouts into tomorrow's community leaders.
• Cost Support: For many families, the cost of camp is prohibitive, and this event helps support their experience.

Event Details

• Date and Time: Our race will start promptly at 7:30 am on Friday, July 4th.
• Timer: We are using a professional timer - Wolf Creek Race Management - with chipped numbers for accurate results.
• Participation: Participants may choose to run or walk, but must complete the event within one hour.
• Parade: The holiday parade follows the race, making the event a community highlight.

Registration Information

• Discounts Available: Discounts for race fees are available until June 15th.
• Fee Schedule:
  • Until May 30th: $20 per participant
  • May 31st - June 15th: $25 per participant
  • After June 15th: $30 per participant
• Online Registration: Participants can register online until July 3rd at 12pm.
• Children's Registration: Children 10 and under are FREE and can register online.

Commemorative Race T-Shirt

To be guaranteed a commemorative race T-shirt, you must register AND select your shirt size by June 20, 2026.

Awards and Age Categories

Awards will be presented as follows:

• 5K Participants: 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for each age category.
• Overall Finishers: Awards for Male and Female.
• Age Categories: Specific awards for various age groups.
• Fair Competition: Both young and adult competitors are recognized.
