🎆 Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K Overview

Boy Scout Troop 407 is planning the 12th Annual Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K Race!

🏕️ Purpose of the Event

• Fundraiser: This event is an annual fundraiser to support our scouts and their participation at summer camp.
• Development: The 6-day camp helps our scouts with their physical, social, and mental development.
• Community Role: Scouting plays an integral role in developing our young scouts into tomorrow's community leaders.
• Accessibility: For many families, the cost of camp is prohibitive, and we work to support this very important experience.

🎉 Event Celebration

• Fourth of July: The Firecracker 5K kicks off the Fourth of July celebration in Pleasant Mount, PA.
• Community Gathering: Following the race, our community comes together for a wonderful holiday parade.
• Festivities: Festivities and celebration will be held at the Pleasant Mount Community Center.
• Small Town Charm: Our Independence Day represents the heart and soul of small town USA.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Event Choice: Participants can choose to run or walk the event course.
• Completion Time: All participants must be able to complete the event within one hour, as our parade day immediately follows.
• Start Time: Our race will start promptly at 7:30 am, on Friday, July 4th.
• Timing: We are using a professional timer - Finish Strong Timing, LLC - with chipped numbers for accurate results.

💲 Registration Information

• Discounts Available: Discounts for race fees are available until June 15th.
• Fee Structures: Until May 30th, registration is $20: from May 31st to June 15th, registration is $25: after June 15th, registration is $30.
• Deadline: Participants can register online until July 3rd at 12pm.
• Children: Children 10 and under are FREE and can register online.

👕 T-shirt Guarantee

To be guaranteed a commemorative race T-shirt, you must register AND select your shirt size by June 20, 2024.

🏆 Awards Presentation

Awards will be presented as follows:

• Categories: 5K Participants - 1st, 2nd & 3rd place for each age category.
• Overall Finishers: Awards for Male and Female overall finishers.
