SASH 5K – Stepping Up Awareness

🏃‍♂️ SASH 5K Overview

Join us on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 8am for the Stepping Up Awareness 5K Run/Walk at San Antonio State Hospital's beautiful grounds, featuring stunning views of the hospital and the Tower of the Americas. This professionally timed race welcomes dogs on leashes and baby strollers, with opportunities for volunteer groups to cheer participants!

🏆 Prizes and Support

• Prizes: Awarded to the top 3 male and 3 female finishers.
• Proceeds: All proceeds support the Volunteer Services Council, dedicated to enhancing the lives of hospital patients on their recovery journey.

💵 Event Fees

• Refunds: NO REFUNDS, the event will take place rain or shine.
• Fees: $40 - February and March: $50 - April and May: $20 - State Employees.

😴 Sleep In for Mental Health

If you can’t be there to run or walk, you can still support this great cause and donate the registration fee!

📦 Packet Pick-Up

• Date: Thursday, April 30th, from 4 to 6pm.
• Location: Embassy Suites - Brooks Hotel & Spa, located at 7610 S. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, TX 78235.
• Race Day: Packets can also be picked up on race day from 7 to 7:45am.
• Note: Please note that shirt sizes may not be guaranteed if you register after Monday, April 20, 2026.
