🏃‍♂️ SASH 5K - Stepping Up Awareness

We are so excited to open the beautiful grounds of the San Antonio State Hospital to host our Stepping Up Awareness - 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 3, 2025! Come join us and show your support for mental health! The race will be hosted on the grounds of SASH located at 6711 S. New Braunfels St., San Antonio, TX 78223. Don’t miss the beautiful views of the newly completed state of the art hospital and a glimpse of the Tower of the Americas. This is the only time of the year that the campus is open for runners and walkers. Dogs on a leash and baby strollers are welcome! Volunteer groups are also welcome to come and cheer everyone on to the finish line, call for more details!

• Type: Professionally timed, chip race with accurate course
• Prizes: Unique prizes for the top 3 male and top 3 female finishers

🤝 Benefiting Organization

This event benefits the Volunteer Services Council of the San Antonio State Hospital. The Council’s primary mission is to improve the quality of life and enhance the well-being of patients receiving treatment at the San Antonio State Hospital by providing goods and services not funded by the state. The patients at the San Antonio State Hospital are receiving treatment and are on their way to recovery from mental illness. • Refund Policy: NO REFUNDS, event occurs rain or shine
• Fee Schedule:
• $35 - February and March
• $40 - April and May
• $20 - State Employees

If you can’t be there to run or walk you can still support this great cause and donate the registration fee!

🎽 Packet Pick-up

• Date: May 1st
• Location: Embassy Suites - Brooks Hotel & Spa, 7610 S. New Braunfels Ave., San Antonio, TX 78235
• Time: 4 to 6 PM
• Race Day Pickup: From 7 to 7:45 AM, on race day at the race site
