Joshua Norman Memorial Run/Walk and Kids' Fun Run

🏃‍♂️Event Overview

This event is a fundraiser for the Joshua Edward Norman Memorial Scholarship, an annual award that will be presented to a senior at Mayfield Jr./Sr. High School pursuing higher education.

This event and the scholarship it supports honors the life of a truly exceptional individual. As a member of the Mayfield Class of 2009, Joshua was an exceptional student who excelled in many subjects, but had a particular passion for reading, studying literature, and learning other languages. His love of the French language led him to study abroad in Paris and ultimately build an amazing life in Toulouse, France. In addition to his academic pursuits, Joshua also demonstrated remarkable talent and dedication in his extracurricular activities. He was an active member of the Band, Drama Club, Cross-Country Running, Nordic Skiing, and Track and Field teams. Through his involvement in these activities, Joshua embodied the importance of pursuing one's passions and interests beyond the classroom. Perhaps most importantly, Josh was a kind, supportive friend, and a leader to his peers. He radiated positivity, even when faced with immense challenges. He had an amazing ability to make everyone in his life feel special and the impact he had on those around him continues to inspire others to this day.

📅Race Details

• Date: August 3rd, 2025
• Location: Mayfield Elementary School
• Course: The 5k run/walk starts at the Mayfield Elementary School track and pavilion, goes out on North Main Street, makes a counter-clockwise loop through the village, and finishes back on the track.
• Kids Fun Run: A fun run loop around the track for kids aged 10(ish) and under.

💰Registration Information

Please register early (before July 14th) to guarantee that you get a T-shirt with the correct size. Please note the increase in cost for Race Day registration.

• Adults Online Registration: $30
• Adults Race Day Registration: $35
• Youth/Students (under 18) Online Registration: $15
• Youth/Students (under 18) Race Day Registration: $20
• Kids Fun Run (Track Loop): $5 (includes goodie bag)

⏰Race Day Schedule

• 5k Registration/bib pick up: 7:30-8:30am
• Kids Fun Run Registration/bib pick up: 7:30-9:45am
• 5k start: 9:00am
• Kids' Fun Run (track loop): 10:00am
• Awards/Raffles: 10:30am
