Edward Jones Firecracker 5k

🎉 Event Overview

On Friday, July 4, 2025, the Edward Jones Firecracker 5k will be taking place as part of the 4th of July Celebration in Platteville, Wisconsin. The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels. Proceeds will be used to support the City of Platteville Fireworks Fund and the Friends of the Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums.

🏃‍♂️ Race Details

• Kids' Dash: Begins at 8:00 am for ages 12 and under, running or walking a lap around the Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums.
• Firecracker 5k: Starts at 8:30 am, taking participants on a route from the museum to Mound View Park & Campground, along the Roundtree Branch Trail, and ending back at the museum.

💲 Registration Information

• Pre-registration: Available for the 5k at $20 (includes a t-shirt) until Thursday, July 3 at 3:00 pm.
• Day-of registration: Available for $25 beginning at 7:30 am at 405 E. Main St. on race day, t-shirts available while supplies last.
• Kids' Dash: Free registration can be done in advance or the morning of the race.
• Check-in: Please arrive early to register/check-in and to receive your shirt and bib number.

🥇 Awards

Immediately following the race, the top three men and women overall, and the winner in each age division will be recognized. Age divisions are 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+.

🚂 Post-Race Activity

Following the race, present your bib at the Mining & Rollo Jamison Museums to receive a complimentary train ride.
