🏃‍♂️ 18th Annual Lisa Shampoe Cancer Care Foundation 5K Run/Walk

Join us 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ August 23, 2025 at the Mission Hike and Bike for the 18th annual 5K event 🎉 where the course will be an out and back on the paved path 🚶‍♂️. Run to win 🏆, jog 🏃, walk for your health 💪, do this for someone that you know who has had or has Cancer 🎗️.

This year we are working in conjunction with the United Way of South Texas 🤝 where proceeds will be used to give direct financial support 💵 to individuals here in the Valley who are fighting cancer 💜. All applicants will be screened by the United Way of South Texas and The Lisa Shampoe Cancer Care Foundation committee, and monies will be dispersed in the month of December 2025 📆.

Over the last 17 years, the Lisa Shampoe events have raised and donated more than $100,000 💰 to various cancer-fighting organizations and individuals. Help us help others ❤️ — make the Lisa 18th Annual event a huge success! SEE YOU AT THE STARTING LINE!!!!!! 🏁⏳

💖 Mission Statement

Lisa Shampoe Cancer Care Foundation Mission Statement:

To help bring cancer awareness 🎗️ to our local community, financial support 💸 for treatment and research 🔬, financial assistance in providing non-medical home care services 🏡 including respite care for those fighting Cancer and lacking financial resources.

• Chic-Fil-A: All pre-registered participants will be entered in a drawing for a free 1 year Chic-Fil-a meal.

👕 Shirts

"We have 300 shirts for this event, but sizes are limited. Shirts will be given out by size in the order you sign up, until that size is gone."

⏰ Event Details

• Start time: 7:30 AM
• Participation medal: Custom participation medal for all registered participants 🏅
• Awards: Individual awards for 1st thru 3rd place male and female in each run category:
• Categories: 9 and under, 10–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60-69 and 70 and over.
• Overall awards: Individual award for the overall 5K male and female.
