The 5th Annual Run4Rare is set to return on May 16, 2026 at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, NJ. This race is rain or shine.
👧 Aubrie's Story
Aubrie Rowland is 7 year old Raritan resident attending Second Grade at Milltown Primary School in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born with an ultra-rare Mitochondrial Disease, Leukoencephalopathy with Ovarian Failure (LKENP). This condition is terminal and has no cure. This run is hosted by Aubrie's mom, Ashley Rowland who is the Co-Founder of CureARS.

CureARS is a parent organization (founded by two mom's) supporting families and funding research that could lead to life-saving treatments for their children and others affected by mtARS disorders.

📝 Race Features
- Run bib/time tracker: Each participant will receive a bib and time tracker.
- T-shirt: T-shirt for all in-person runners (if registered prior to April 15th).
- Flat course: The race will take place on a flat course at Duke Island Park.
- USATF Certified Course: The course is certified (NJ22033JLW).
- Awards: Awards for Overall first, second and third places.
- Virtual runners: Virtual runners can enter their time and receive virtual bibs.
