Purpose of the Ride
- Aim: Raise awareness of prostate cancer and the importance of early detection, screening, education, and nutrition.
- Beneficiaries: Funds will be donated to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
- Statistics: Over 20,000 men diagnosed last year with prostate cancer: over 2 million American men currently living with it.
- Goal: Promote awareness of early detection and the role of nutrition in prostate cancer prevention.
Bike Routes
- Starting Point: Franklin Township Community Center, 505 DeMott Lane, Somerset NJ at 8:00 am.
- 3 Mile Fun Ride/Walk: Family-friendly ride along paved paths to Quail Brook Park.
- 10 Mile Ride: The Robert "Cozy" Merrits Memorial ride through quiet neighborhoods with a full rest stop at Community Baptist Church.
- 30 Mile Ride: Challenging route through Colonial Park and along the Delaware Raritan Canal, with rest stops in Colonial Park and Griggstown Fire Station #35.
- 50 Mile Ride: For seasoned cyclists, following 30-mile route paths and featuring historic areas including Kingston.
Support and Amenities
- Rest Stops: Fully stocked with water, energy bars, and fruit.
- SAG Support: Available for all routes to assist participants as needed.
- Meals: Registration fee includes breakfast, lunch, and our signature T-shirt.
- Awards: Presentations of awards at the end of the ride alongside a delicious buffet lunch.
