Shawnee Mission School District Staff 5K Walk/Run

Event Overview

This free event is to celebrate the health and wellbeing of Shawnee Mission School District staff and their family members.

This event is closed to the general public.

Eligibility

• Participants: All SMSD staff members and their immediate families are invited.
• Age Requirement: Children 8 years of age and up are allowed to register for the 5K event.
• Participation Rule: Children under 8 are allowed to participate in the 5K, but must be with an adult at all times while on the race course.
• Strollers: Strollers are welcome.

Race Details

• Location: Start and finish line is in the Shawnee Mission South stadium with 5K route on the Indian Creek Trail.
• Schedule: Pre-race activities start at 8:45am. Race starts at 9:00am.
• Post-Race Activities: Stay after the 5K for family fun, healthy lifestyle vendor booths and prize giveaways.
• Registration: All SMSD staff members should complete an individual registration so your building participation is counted.
