Get ready for the most prehistoric race in town—the 7th Annual TyRUNnosaurus 5K!

Mark your calendars for September 27, 2026, and join us for a DINO-MITE day of running, walking, and family fun that supports the amazing Museum of Natural History Foundation!

Race Day Highlights:

• 5K Run/Walk: Blaze through the historic Sawmill District
• Kids 1-Mile Race: Let your little dinosaurs sprint!
• 1-Mile Family Walk: Stomp alongside your prehistoric pack
• Kids K: Fun for the tiniest T-Rexes

Event Schedule:

Inflatable Costume Dash: 8:45 a.m.
5K Run/Walk: 9:00 a.m.
Kids K: 9:45 a.m.
KIDS 1-Mile: 10:00 a.m.
FAMILY 1-Mile Walk: 10:00 a.m.

NOTE: WE WILL START ON TIME. YOU MUST BE AT THE START OF YOUR EVENT 10-15 MINUTES BEFORE THE ABOVE START TIMES.

ALL REGISTERED PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE A T-SHIRT, PARTICIPANT MEDAL, AND ENTRY INTO THE NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM.

Runner Packet Pickup and Late Registration:

Late registrations for all events are available on race day and at Packet Pickup.

Parking:

• Designated Areas: Please use designated parking areas only.
• No Parking: Do not park on roads, sidewalks, or pedestrian bike paths.
• Locations: Parking is available at the Explora Museum and the Albuquerque Museum.
• Restrictions: Important: No parking on 18th Street or Mountain Rd. All locations are part of the course.

Medical Support:

Medical staff members will be ready to assist you at any time. Please cooperate if you are asked to go for a checkup. If you need help at any point, please ask for it!

Inflatable Costume Dash:

Step into your favorite inflatable costume and make a mad dash to the finish line. The inflatable Costume Dash will start and finish at Tiguex Park directly south of the Natural History Museum.

Post-Race:

Post-race refreshments will be held near the finish.

Results will be posted immediately after the event near the finish as well as online at www.irunfit.org.
