Mission Statement

The mission of the Pediatric Retinal Research Foundation (PRRF) is to raise awareness of pediatric retinal diseases, drive research, and support the community of affected individuals and their families. All proceeds raised from the 7th annual Hope for Vision Campaign will benefit research initiatives and community programs.

About the Walk

• Global Participation: We invite people throughout the world to join us by providing Hope for Vision to children and families world-wide.
• Unite for a Cause: The more individuals who unite for a cause, the greater the impact we can create.
• In-Person or Virtual: Whether you join us in person in Rochester Hills, Michigan or virtually, you are making a difference in the quest for cures.
• Power of Unity: Let's embrace the power of unity in fundraising and create a world where no challenge is insurmountable.

How to Participate - IN PERSON

• Sign Up: Sign up as an individual participant or team.
• Welcome Kit: We’ll email you a Walker Welcome Kit filled with resources and tools.
• Fundraising Goal: Set a goal, then ask friends, family members, colleagues, and associates to donate to your fundraising page.
• Family Fun: Join us at the in-person Walk for kids activities, snacks, music, games, and more!

How to Participate - VIRTUAL

• Sign Up: Sign up as an individual participant or team.
• Welcome Kit: We’ll email you a Walker Welcome Kit filled with resources and tools.
• Fundraising Goal: Set a goal, then ask friends, family members, colleagues, and associates to donate to your fundraising page.
• Local Gathering: Gather your family, friends, and/or colleagues to walk, run, or bike in your local community.
• Share Your Experience: Send photos of your gathering to info@prrf.org to be included in a post-event celebration video.

How Will the Funds Raised Help PRRF?

The Foundation is in a period of great growth right now! We are so grateful to everyone who has supported the event in years past. Funds raised will support research in the Pediatric Retinal Research Lab at Oakland University, as well as support community programs including the Through Our Eyes podcast, webinars, new resources on our website, the annual Family Connection Conference, and so much more!
