Chestertown Challenge Half Marathon Run and 5K Run/Walk

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

Join us for the Chestertown Challenge Half Marathon Run and 5K Run/Walk on October 11, 2026, at Wilmer Park, Chestertown, MD. This event benefits the Kent Association of Riding Therapy, Inc. (KART).

🕗 Registration Details

• Opening Time: Registration opens at 8 a.m.
• Race Start: Both the Half Marathon Run and 5K Run/Walk begin at 9 a.m.
• Packet Pickup: Starts at 8 a.m. on race day.
• Silent Hero: Support the event by registering as a Silent Hero if you can't attend.

🏅 Awards

• Awards for Winners: Unique awards for overall male and female winners in both the Half Marathon and 5K Run.
• Age Group Awards: Awards presented to the top 2 in 10-year age groups.
• 5K Walk Awards: Presented to top 2 male and female finishers: 5K awards after the last participant finishes.
• Half Marathon Awards: Presented 3 hours after the race start.

🏞️ Course Information

• Start/Finish: The event starts and finishes at Wilmer Park.
• Terrain: The course features gentle rolling terrain on paved country roads.
• Course Records: Male - Hasan Butler - 1:21:27 (2014): Female - Meredith Tulio - 1:28:29 (2018) for Half Marathon. 5K Male - Jesse Goodyear - 17:50 (2015): Female - Lisa Victorius - 20:50 (2017).
• Water Stops: Located approximately every two miles on the Half Marathon course and at the start/finish.

🚻 Amenities

• Tech Shirts: Guaranteed for all participants registered by September 30th.
• Refreshments: Food and refreshments available at the finish line!
• Course Management: Police-controlled roads with mile markers and directional arrows.
• Restrooms: Available at the start/finish and along the Half Marathon course.
