What is a Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk?

• Purpose: The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers.
• Honor: Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty!

• Event History: This will be our eighth year in Myrtle Beach, and we are excited to once again bring together the community to honor first responders, remember 9/11, and raise funds for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

Event Details

• Date: 2026-09-20
• Location: Farrow Parkway & Nevers Street, Myrtle Beach, SC
• Distance: This is a 5K (3.1 miles). Anyone can run, walk, or experience this event.

Packet Pickup

• Location: Black Dog Running Company, 1600 Farrow Parkway B-1, Myrtle Beach, SC 29577.
• Date: Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 2pm to 5pm.
• Shirt Sizes: Please note that shirt sizes are not guaranteed. Shirts are first come, first served.
• Day-of Registration: Yes, registration will open at 7AM the morning of the run.

Course Information

• Parking: Yes, there is plenty of parking available at The Market Common and around the park area.
• Bib Number: Yes, please display your bib on the front of your outermost garment.
• Fast Runners: Runners predicting a pace faster than 6 minute/mile will be seeded in the front corral.
• Awards: Yes, awards are based on firefighters, police, or military running in gear.

Event Logistics

• Water Stations: Yes, a water station will be available along the route and at the Start/Finish Line area.
• Permitted Items: Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted: firefighter turnout gear and military backpacks are also allowed.
• Dogs: Dogs are welcome on leash only, and owners must be responsible for cleanup.
• Registration Fee: Your registration fee does not count toward the fundraising goal.

Support and Donations

• Packet Pickup by Others: Yes, they can pick up your packet with a copy of your registration receipt.
• Post-Race Donations: Yes, donations will be accepted for 6 weeks after the event.
• Sponsorship: Please send all sponsorship correspondence to myrtlebeach@:t2t.org.
• Offline Donations: Please mail any offline donations to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, ATTN: Colleen Grace, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.

Registration Policy

• Transfers: Yes, you can transfer your registration to another participant.
• Refunds: We do not provide refunds. Registration may be transferred.
• Volunteer Opportunities: Email us at myrtlebeach@:t2t.org to volunteer for the day of festivities.
• Medical Staff: Yes, there will be an Emergency Medical Service team available on site.
