Event Information
- Organization: The Children's Recovery Center is a non-profit Child Advocacy center serving the children of Horry and Georgetown Counties.
- Mission: It is our mission to provide treatment and effective advocacy for children suspected of having suffered sexual abuse and physical abuse.
- Community Efforts: We collaborate with community partners to find the best outcome for each child, focusing on prevention and education.
- Status: We are a 501c3 organization.
About the Race
- Fundraiser: The Children's Recovery Center 5K Run/Walk is a fundraiser for the Children's Recovery Center.
- Proceeds: All proceeds will benefit the children of Horry and Georgetown Counties who come to the Children's Recovery Center.
- Family-Friendly: This event is designed to be a "family friendly" event where young and old are welcomed to participate.

Pre-Race Activities
- Date: Friday, August 21
- Location: On The 1/2 Shell - 4500 Highway 17, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.
- Time: From 5-8 pm.
- Activities: Pick up your race packets or register for the race, have a delicious dinner and win raffle prizes!!
Race Day Schedule
- Registration: Saturday, August 22, 2026, Race Registration at Morse Park Landing.
- Packet Pick Up: Starts at 7:00 am.
- 1 Mile Run/Walk: 7:30 am (FREE for kids 7 and under).
- 5K Shotgun Start: 8:00 am.
- Free Breakfast: For Runners at 9:00 am.
Registration Fees
- 5K Run/Walk Adult: $40 per adult when registered by August 17, 2026 ($45 after August 16).
- 5K Run/Walk Child: $30 per child 14 and under when registered by August 17, 2026 ($35 after August 17).
- 1 Mile Run/Walk Adult: $25 per adult ($30 after August 17).
- 1 Mile Run/Walk Child: $15 per child ($20 after August 17).
