Take Flight 5k & 1 Mile Run

✈️ The 12th Annual Take Flight 5k

Let your feet take flight on the Greenville Downtown Airport runway for one of the most unique running experiences and flattest 5k races around.

📅 Date & Location

• When: Memorial Day Weekend - Saturday, May 24th, 2025
• Where: 21 Airport Road Ext., Greenville, SC US 29607

🎭 Event Details

• Costumes: Costumes and Competition are highly encouraged. Fun mandatory!
• Prizes: Prizes will be given out between races.
• Participation: Strollers and walkers are allowed. No pets are allowed in this race.
• Ceremony: We will take a moment to honor our fallen veterans with a small ceremony prior to the race.

⏰ Race Schedule

• Late Registration: 6:30 am
• Ceremony Start: 7:30 am
• 5k Race Begins: 8:00 am
• 1 Mile Race Begins: 8:45 am

📦 Bib & Shirt Pickup

• Thursday, May 22nd: Packet pickup from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the loop between Takeoff Minigolf and the Museum.
• Friday, May 23rd: Packet Pickup from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the loop between Takeoff Minigolf and the Museum.
• Saturday, May 24th: Packet Pickup from 6:30 am - 7:45 am.

• 5k Race:
  • Top 3 Males & Females Overall
  • Top 3 Males & Females in various Age Group Categories (0-9, 10-12, 13-16, 17-19, 20-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-79, 80+)
• 1 Mile Race:
  • Top 3 Male and Female Overall
  • Top 3 in the Youth Age Group Categories (1-9, 10-12, 13-16, 17-19)

💖 Additional Information

All proceeds from the race and any fundraising go to Runway Park maintenance and improvements.
