Spotswood Annual 5K Race/Walk

Race Date

The event date will be Saturday, September 12th, 2026. Walkers will be sent out at 8:45 am and the 5K runners will start at 9 am.

Event Info

• Check-In Time: 7:15am - 8:15am: Race Day Check In/In-Person Registrations
• Registration Cutoff: 8:15am: HARD STOP on all NEW registrations. Pre-Registered participants can continue check-in until race time.
• Opening Ceremony: 8:25am: Opening Ceremony/Presentation of the Colors/National Anthem
• Start Times: 8:45am: Walkers Begin: 9:00am: 5K Runners Begin.

Awards

Awards will be presented after runners have completed the course.

Registration Info

• Fee: $30 Early-Bird until 8/29/26: $40 from 8/30/26 and in-person registration.
• Day Of Registration: In person, will be from 7:15am until 8:15am.
• Please Note: Due to time constraints, there will be a HARD STOP on all new in-person registrations at 8:15am. T-Shirts for Pre-Registered participants (Day of Registrations are while supplies last).
• Trophies: Trophies for top finishers.

The Course

The Spotswood 5K Race course will take you through the streets of Spotswood. There are volunteers throughout the course and white arrows painted on the street to guide you through the race.

• Water Stations: There will be two water stations set up on the course. The first station is at the one mile mark, and the second at the two mile mark.
• Time Requirement: Please note that a 15 minute mile pace or faster is required for the 5k. A 15 min. mile pace is roughly four miles per hour, equivalent to a very brisk walk.
• Course Support: If you fall below this pace, race organizers can no longer guarantee course support. Water Stations, medical support, bathrooms, and road closures will begin to become unavailable to participants.
• Safety Measures: The local police and race organizers will ask you to either move up onto the sidewalk or require you to be transported further up on course to catch up to the 15 min. per mile group.
