About this race
Event Overview
Join us for Bailey’s Annual Heart & Sole 5K Charity Run/Walk, held on October 25th at The John Carroll School in Bel Air, Maryland.

Event Highlights
- Dynamic Warm-Up: The morning will begin with a dynamic group warm-up before participants take off for the timed 5K.
- Post-Race Refreshments: After crossing the finish line, participants can enjoy water and refreshments while cheering on fellow runners and walkers.
- Group Photo: We’ll close the event with a group photo and recognition of our race winners.
- Cause Awareness: Every step you take contributes to raising awareness for Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
Purpose of the Race
Bailey Bullock was only 16 years old when he died from Sudden Cardiac Arrest on May 12, 2021. Since Bailey’s passing, Bailey’s Heart & Soul Foundation has been committed to increasing awareness of Sudden Cardiac Arrest and helping ensure that schools, families, and communities are prepared to recognize and respond to a cardiac emergency.
On April 25, 2024, Governor Wes Moore signed the Bailey Bullock Act into Maryland law, helping ensure that Maryland schools have Cardiac Emergency Action Plans in place to respond quickly and effectively when a cardiac emergency occurs.
Your Impact
Proceeds from Bailey’s Heart & Sole 5K help support the Foundation’s lifesaving programs and initiatives, including:
- Youth Heart Screenings: Providing screenings for young individuals.
- CPR and AED Training: Offering education and training on CPR and the use of AEDs.
- AED Fundraising: Initiatives for fundraising and placement of AEDs.
- Awareness and Education: Promoting Sudden Cardiac Arrest awareness and education.
