Wakarusa Maple Syrup Festival 5K and 1 Mile Run

🏃‍♂️ Race Overview

On Saturday, April 25, 2026, the 1-mile runs will start at 7:30 AM, followed by the 5K at 8:00 AM. At Northwood Middle School 301 North Elkhart Street Wakarusa, Ind 46573

The kids' mile run and competitive mile run will start at the same time. If you want to participate in both the 1-mile race and the 5K, please sign up for both races.

Whether you're a seasoned competitive runner, a beginner, or a walker, you are all welcome! After your run or walk, be sure to spend some quality time with family or friends in the charming small town shops and enjoy everything that the Maple Syrup Festival has to offer!

👥 Group Registration

• Multi-Person Pricing: When you register 4 or more individuals simultaneously, you qualify for the Multi-Person Pricing option, which allows you to save $3.00 per registrant.
• Team Choice: Whether you choose to join an existing group/team or establish your own, the choice is entirely up to you!
• Great Opportunity: This is a fantastic opportunity to bring your friends or family members together and take advantage of this fantastic offer.

💰 Event Dates and Registration Fees

• November 28 - 30: $15.00 for 5K, $10.00 for 1 Mile Runs, $22.50 for 1 Mile & 5K Run/Walk Combo
• December 1 - 31: $18.00 for 5K, $13.00 for 1 Mile Runs, $28.50 for 1 Mile & 5K Run/Walk Combo
• January 1 - 31: $20.00 for 5K, $15.00 for 1 Mile Runs, $30.00 for 1 Mile & 5K Run/Walk Combo
• April 20 - 26: $30.00 for 5K, $20.00 for 1 Mile Runs, $45.00 for 1 Mile & 5K Run/Walk Combo

Online registration ends on April 26, 2025, at 8:30 AM.

👶 Age Requirements

• 5K & Combo Race: Kids who want to walk or run must be at least 6 years old on race day. All kids aged 6 and up participating must be registered.
• 1 Mile 12/U Race: Kids who want to walk or run must be at least 4 years old on race day. All kids aged 4 to 12 participating must be registered.
• 1 Mile 13/U Race: Kids who want to walk or run must be at least 13 years old on race day. All kids aged 13 and up participating must be registered.

🏞️ Event Guidelines

We are excited to provide events for individuals of all fitness levels, including a 5K run/walk and a 1-mile 13 and under run/walk. Strollers are permitted in the 5K run/walk. However, for safety reasons, bikes, scooters, skates, rollerblades, or similar items are not allowed in any event due to potential trip hazards.

👕 T-shirt Registration Deadline

Register before March 15, 2025, to secure your race t-shirt. After March 15, 2025, t-shirt availability will be on a first come, first served basis, or choose the no shirt option and save $5.00.

🐕 Dog Guidelines

• Leash Requirements: All dogs must be kept on a non-retractable leash and under supervision at all times.
• Clean Up: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.
• Aggressive Dogs: Any dog displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs must be immediately removed from the event by its owner.
• Gym Policy: Dogs are not allowed in the middle school gym. We apologize for the inconvenience.
