41st Annual Gary Tillman Clocktower 5K & 2-Mile Health Walk

Event Description
- Celebration: This year we celebrate the 41st Running of Rome's oldest race!
- History: What began as a fundraiser by the Rome Jaycees has grown into one of Georgia's premier running events.
- Beneficiary: Funds raised from this race will benefit the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
- Ccourse: The race course winds through historic downtown Rome, ascending Clocktower Hill and finishing with a view of the Coosa River in Heritage Park.

- Massages: Pre-Race and Post-race massages and stretching
- Refreshments: Post Race refreshments
- Packets: Great Participants' packets!
- Entertainment: Music and FUN...all make this a race not to be missed!!
5K and 2-Mile Courses
- Headquarters: Race headquarters is in Heritage Park.
- 5K Route: The 5K course is certified by USATF, course number: GA24030WC
- Timing: The 5K will be chip-timed by Wire2Wire Running: the 2-mile Health Walk is non-competitive.
- Walk Route: The 2-Mile Health Walk follows a gentler ascent to Clocktower Hill.

- 6:30am: Race Day Registration/Packet Pick-up Opens
- 7:30am: Race Day Registration Closes
- 8:00am: 5K Start
- 9:20am: Awards Ceremony

- Pre-registration: Offered through August 5, 2026.
- Prices: Register by July 17th for the lowest prices!
- Online: Register at www.runsignup.com
- Late Registration: $40 for both 5K & 2 Mile after August 11th.
Pre-Race Packet Pickup
- Date: Friday, August 14th, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm
- Location: First United Methodist Church of Rome Wilder Center, 202 East 3rd Ave.
5K Awards
- Overall Winners: 1st place Overall (Male and Female)
- Masters: 1st Place Masters (Male & Female)
- Age Groups: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in various Age Groups
- Special Awards: Youngest and Oldest Finisher of the 5K

- Availability: Plenty of parking is available at Heritage Park and Riverview Park.
