🎉 EVENT DESCRIPTION

• 40th Anniversary: This year we celebrate the 40th Running of Rome's oldest race!
• Fundraising Purpose: Funds raised will benefit the Exchange Club Family Resource Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.
• Historic Course: The race course winds through historic downtown Rome, climbing Clocktower Hill before finishing at Heritage Park.
• Shirt Guarantee: Short sleeve Gildan Softstyle tee-shirts are guaranteed to runners and walkers registered by midnight, August 6th.

🏅 AMENITIES

• Massages: Pre-Race and Post-race massages and stretching.
• Refreshments: Post Race refreshments will be available.
• Participants' Packets: Great Participants' packets!
• Entertainment: Music and FUN all make this a race not to be missed!

🚦 5K and 2-MILE COURSES

Both events start and end in Heritage Park. Race starts on West 3rd Street, runs through Historic Downtown Rome ascending the iconic Clocktower hill, and finishes on the Levee of Heritage Park. The 2 Mile Health Walk starts on 2nd Avenue, follows a gentler ascent to Clocktower Hill, and finishes inside Heritage Park.

The 5K course is certified by USATF, course number: GA24030WC

The 5K will be chip-timed by Wire2Wire Running: the 2-mile Health Walk will be non-competitive.

🗓️ EVENT SCHEDULE

• 6:30am: Race Day Registration/Packet Pick-up Opens
• 7:30am: Race Day Registration Closes
• 7:45am: Race Day Packet Pick-up Closes
• 8:00am: 5K Start and 8:05am: 2 Mile Health Walk Start
• 9:20am: Awards Ceremony

📝 REGISTRATION DETAILS

• Pre-registration: Offered through August 7, 2024.
• Online: www.runsignup.com
• By mail: Must be postmarked by July 19, 2024. 5K is $30, 2 Mi is $25.
• Note: Price increases after July 19th. July 20th - August 7th: 5K is $35: 2 Mile is $30.

⏳ LATE REGISTRATION

• August 8-13: 5K & 2 Mile are $40. Tee-shirts are not guaranteed.
• Race Day Registration: $40 for both 5K & 2 Mile. Tee-shirts are not guaranteed.
• Group Discount: Teams of 10 or more receive a discount of $3 per person.

📦 PRE-RACE PACKET PICKUP

Participants may pick up race packets and bibs on Friday, August 16th, from 3:00 pm until 6:00 pm at First United Methodist Church of Rome Wilder Center, 202 East 3rd Ave, Rome, GA 30161.

🏆 5K AWARDS

We've got some really cool awards planned!

• 1st Place Overall: Male and Female
• Masters: 1st Place Male & Female
• Grandmasters: 1st Place Male & Female
• Age Groups: 1st, 2nd, & 3rd in several age categories.

Note: The 2 Mile Health Walk will be for health and fun: no awards will be given for the 2 Mi. walk.

🚗 PARKING

Plenty of parking is available at Heritage Park and the adjoining Riverview Park near the ballfields.
