The annual United Way Turkey Trot 5K & 1M Giblet Jog benefitting the United Way of Bartow County is back! One of Cartersville’s favorite Thanksgiving week traditions returns on Saturday, November 22, 2025.

Race Registration
- Online Registration: Runs until 11:59 PM, Sunday, November 16th.
- T-Shirt Guarantee: Register by November 16th to guarantee your T-shirt size.
- Race Day Registration Rates: $40 for 5K / $35 for 1M Giblet Jog.

- Start and Finish Lines: Located at the entrance to the Sam Smith Soccer Complex, behind Cartersville Middle School.
- Event Parking: Plenty of event parking within the Cartersville Soccer Complex/Ric Mason Fields parking lot off of Milner Rd.

Race Route
Due to construction in Sam Smith Park, this year’s course may look a little different — but it will still be a full 5K of fun with the same great energy and atmosphere.

- 7:45 AM: Race Day Registration
- 8:55 AM: Pre-Race Announcements
- 9:00 AM: 5K Turkey Trot Race Start
- 9:05 AM: 1M Giblet Jog Race Start
- 10:00 AM: Awards Presentation
Packet Pick Up
Pre-Race Packet Pick-Up for those that are pre-registered will be held Friday, November 21st from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM at Big Peach Running Co. in Cartersville. Please make every effort to pick up your packet on Friday to avoid the lines on Saturday morning!
Awards
- Top 3 Overall: Awards for both Male and Female Winners.
- Top Masters: Male and Female Winners recognized.
- Age Categories: Awards for the top 3 in ages 10-Under to 80 & Over.
- Special Prize: TOP 8 Winners earn a frozen Turkey!
